Biography

Kitt McGregor is an audiovisual artist based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland). Kitt has curated a number of multimedia events and festivals featuring international innovators. His work spans soundtracks, animation and sculpture, with recent projects combining computer software programming and audio/visual synthesis to create virtual environments and interactive experiences.

Kitt’s work creates experiences using light & sound via creative use of technology. He is inspired by the potential of technology to communicate discoveries made during experimentation within the mediums of kaleidoscopic membrane projection, feedback animation, behavioural synthesis, and immersive interactivity.

Kitt is interested in the architecture of virtual/perceived space. Current research includes Augmented Reality Architecture and psychoacoustics.
